Energy Law Group is delighted to announce that Dr. Thierry Lauriol, the Chairman of ELG and partner at Jeantet, have again been nominated in Jeune Afrique’s and Jeune Afrique Business+ top 100 the most influential business lawyers in francophone Africa of 2019. It is the fourth year in a row that Mr Lauriol has been recognised in the list and is ranked at the 7th position.
It is the leading ranking in Africa. The nominations – covering the period from the beginning of 2019 to the beginning of 2020 – were considered against various weighted criteria, including the number of cases, their geographical diversity, the financial value at stake and the complexity of their assignments. An additional weighting was also attributed to projects with “impact”, such as the development of renewable energy or health infrastructure projects.
Jeune Afrique is a French-language pan-African weekly news magazine and is the most widely read pan-African magazine. The publication focuses on African political, economic, social and cultural news.
